Child Care leave for Male Govt employees-Who are single parents: Male government employees, who are single parents can avail Child Care leave. Briefly, the minister of state for PMO and DoPT (Dept. Of personnel and training) Jitender Singh explained the child care leave.

Further, he stated it is a path breaking and progressive reform. Singh added , in the series of reforms by Modi government it is a remarkable decision.

Who are eligible for Male child care leave?

Clearly, Male central government employees who are single parents can use this leave. Including, Unmarried male employees, divorced, widowers who are looking after their children as single parent are eligible for the leave.

How much is Child Care Leave ?

The male employees of central government can avail this Child Care leave for 730 days in their service.

However, the employee gets 100% salary pay for 365 days of leave. And 80% of salary pay for another 365 days.

Who are eligible for male child care leave?

Male central government employees who are single parents can use this leave. The male employees may use the leave till their children get the age of 18 years.

It should be noted that, Unmarried male employees can also avail this leave as single parent.

Further, Male employees, divorced, widowers and looking after their children as single parent are eligible for the leave.

Highlights of Male child care leave

In addition to this, now above said male employees can leave the Headquarter in child care leave. But, employee should take prior permission of the employer.

Further more, in this new guide lines of child care leave, employee can utilize LTC(Leave Travel Concession) in the period of child care leave.

Previously, in case of disabled children the employee has to use the child care leave till the child get 22 years of age. Presently it is extended until the disabled child alive.

Further, Singh stated, main intension of government reforms regarding employees is to enable the employees to contribute to the maximum of their potential.

Similarly, child care leave for male government employees can make the male employee to work without tensions . It gives chance to look after their kids as single parents in critical and needy situations.
