Sonu Sood conquered Prestigious UNO Award : Sonu Sood a famous Indian Bollywood cine anti hero and the real life hero achieved a rare honour from the United Nations organisation for his community service in this critical covid-19 pandemic situation. ”The special Humanitarian award” was conferred to him by UNDP and presented to him at virtual ceremony in the evening of September 29.

Sonu sood became a first Indian actor who received this great honour from UNO. The activities made Sonu sood to receive award are:

Help for migrants in lock down

Sonu sood became a god in the hearts of migrants by providing them transport facility to reach their hometowns in lockdown. Further he arranged a toll-free number for the migrants to help them and solve their requisitions.

Website for employment opportunities

Recently on his 47th birthday on July 30,Sonusood launched a website and free app named “Pravas Rojgar” to provide employment opportunities to needy migrants. Through this website he connected the job providers and job seekers.

With this endeavor Sonu sood paved a path to create three lakh jobs, prominent companies Amazon, AEPC, CITI, Trident, Sodexo, Quess corp, Urbanco and portea joined their hands to support his employment mission.

Donated tractor to a Poor farmer

The video circulated in the social media, in which two daughters of a farmer K.Nageshwar Rao ploughing an agriculture field at KV palli of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. They are very poor who couldn’t have enough money to buy axon or tractor. The video brought tears in the eyes of Sonu sood. As soon as he watched the video Sonu sood sent a tractor for the farmer.

Help for the indian students at Kyrgyzstan

Sonusood helped the 135 Indian students who were stuck at Kyrgyzstan and became helpless in lockdown to reach their homes. He arranged a charter flight for them to reach Varanasi from Kyrgyzstan.

Help to the Frontline workers in covid-19 pandemic days

Sonusood donated 1500 PPE kits to the paramedical staff and 25,000 face shields to the Maharashtra police personnel, who have been working as Frontline workers in this pandemic situation for the welfare of the community.

Provided food for needy people

On the name of his father he started “Shakti Annadanam” program, which provides food for more than 45,000 people in Mumbai daily.

In lockdown he opened his hotel “Juhu” in Mumbai for doctors, nurses, paramedical staff who are working for service of the millions of people.

Apart from this Sonusood established mobile towers in the areas where signal was not supported for students for online classes and donated smartphones for the poor students to listen to online classes.

Sonu Sood conquered Prestigious UNO Award. Sonusood felt very happy on receiving this rare award. He spoke, what he did was very small and said it was his duty to help fellow people in difficult situation. Further he said that his full support will be given to the UNDP, in it’s endeavor to achieve Sustainable development Goals by 2030 which will certainly help protection of earth and society.
