This Indian woman lives on Tea for 30 years
Nandarani Mahato , a woman from Dakshina Dinajpur in West Bengal. She lives in a small hut in Balargat. She runs a small tiffin shop in the local market to make both ends meet. Amid family strife, her son emigrated to Bangladesh 30 years ago. Nandrani has stopped eating rice and drinking only twelve cups of tea a day ever since. She occasionally takes the local made moory.
She also has a paan habit
Generally, most of the Indians eat paan made of betel leaves to to help digest their food after a heavy meal. As an after food mouth freshener, paan is a common treat in many Indian households. The betel leaf used to make paan has not only traditional uses but also health benefits if the paan is typical containing the ingredients coconut powder, sweetened rose petals, cloves, fennel and red katha paste.
Contrary to that she made this habit with an empty stomach. Usually lime is added to the paan. It is harmful to health. The calcium carbonate in it is said to bite the intestines.
No health issues so far…
Though She is not eating at all, no health issues have seen so far. Her health is surprising to everyone.
Doctors still say that she has no health problems as She make sure the tea that she drinks contains a high percentage of milk. They also said that the carbohydrates and proteins in milk give her the nutrients she needs, so her health remains stable.
She has been waiting for her son’s return with wet eyes. Hope her wish come true and her son return home soon.
