Foundation stone at Smriti Vanam
Prestigiously, on Wednesday Chief Minister YS Jagan laid foundation stone. Of, the statue for a 125 -feet of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. That statue built in the Smrithi Vanam of BR Ambedkar Swarajya maidan. Publicly, which known as PWD grounds in Vijayawada.
In particular, the YSRCP government step forward to take over the abandoned correspondent project of Ambedkar Smriti vanam. Actually, proposed by the previous Telugu Desham party announced at Inavolu village in the new capital Amaravathi. Former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declared 200 crore worth project in 2015. The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued a G O about construction of the memorial park on 7th July 2020. He renamed the ground which popularly known as PWD grounds. Named as dr.BR Ambedkar SWARAJYA MAIDAAN. Other Ministers and MLAs participated in the video conference from the park.

P. Viswarup, the Social Welfare Minister of Andhra Pradesh said, “The statue completed by April 14th 2022. Launched by the chief minister.” This prestigious Project handed over to Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. This act of CM YS jagan Mohan Reddy made lot of youth to think the greatness of Dr BR Ambedkar.
