“Where there is a will, there is a way.” A young man from Ramagundam made this saying true. If man wants to achieve something, he creates wonders in his way of achievement. The first telugu para glider with his own para motor Aadepu Arjun, a resident of railway colony, Ramagundam, Peddapalli District, Telangana state made his own Para motor and soared high.
For about twenty minutes he made different feats in the air and attracted the spectators. He was successful in performing a trial run in Genco playground.
Aadepu Arjun, being a graduate of commerce had an interest towards paragliding since childhood. While doing graduation, he visited Meghalaya, Tripura, Shimla, and Himachal Pradesh. Once he did mountain paragliding adventure in Himachal Pradesh which aroused an interest in him to create something that can fly not only from the mountains but even in the open areas or meadows. For three years, with strong determination he had been trying to make a paraglide of his own. For this he acquired the equipment from America, Britain, Iran and Italy, which are a worth of fifteen lakhs. He made a Para motor and fulfilled his ambition by making a trial run on 22nd September.

The Para motor was completely made with foreign technology and weighs about one quintal. It has a fuel tank that contains fifteen liters of fuel which allows one to soar non-stop for two hours. Arjun said that it can fly hundred feet to ten thousand feet from above the ground. It moves forward against the wind direction and can bear a maximum of 170 kgs, so two persons can easily glide with the help of this Para motor.

Arjun said that he was able to achieve this because of his parents, Venkata Narayana, a retired Singareni employee and his mother Chandrakala’s encouragement and their financial help. At present, Arjun is working in Railways.
He said that he was very happy as his dream came true. He also said that opportunities should be given to Para gliders like him at the adventurous events in the capital city, Hyderabad instead of inviting gliders from other states.
