Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A is up for another sale on e-commerce platform Amazon and Mi.com website. The smartphone will be available for purchase at 12pm today, October 3. To recall, the smartphone was launched in September this year along with the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro.
Redmi 6A comes with a starting price of Rs 5,999. Being called the ‘Desh ka naya smartphone’, Redmi 6A offers two RAM variants — 2GB and 3GB paired with 16GB and 32GB storage.
During the sale, Reliance Jio customers will be given Rs 2,200 instant cashback and 100GB 4G data. Notably, it is successor to Redmi 5A that was launched last year.
Features and specifications of Redmi 6A
The Redmi 6A comes with a 5.45-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor and runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system topped with company’s own MIUI layer of customisation.
As for the camera is concerned, the Redmi 6A sports a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. The snapper comes equipped with AI-based face unlock feature. The handset also boasts of a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and electronic image stabilization.
The smartphone comes with a triple card slot that allows users to use both SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously. It also comes with dual VoLTE support which means one can use 4G on both the SIM cards.
Connectivity options offered by the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Redmi 6A is available in different colour options that include Black, Gold and Blue.
